Facination with death?
Recently, within the lat two weeks my 4 1/2 year old has started talking about death ALOT. She talks about her great grandparents and how they are dead and that she is going to die when she is 40-80-91 (all one age by the way). She says she misses them even though they both died long before she was born. And yesterday she said after her baby brother gets here he is going to die. (I am trying to adopt and started the process 4 months ago). I don't think she understands really what death is. I don't know whether this is an problem or normal. Help any suggestions or idea would be great.

My cousin's little boy went through this same thing. He was into dinosaurs at the time and was always talking about how he was going to die just like the dinosaurs did. He eventually grew out of it. We looked at it as him understanding death. He was probably about 4 or 5 when he started talking about it. He's now ten and hasn't mentioned it at all.
