Baby Girl

I am 39 years old. I was born on June 26th 1963 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and placed with an exceptional family one week later. I have had a great life and I want to thank my biological mother for having the courage to give me up. I will not search for her but I would be glad to hear from her. I live in Rockford Illinois. I have always felt special because I was adopted. My parents told me I was adopted when I was very young. I have 2 girls, 18 and 20. They are great kids and would very much like to meet their biological grandmother or grandfather.

Born in 1963, Chicago Foundling

I was also born in cook county hospital in Chicago on 7/10/63. I have now lost all my adoptive family Mom, Dad and Brother.

I have thought about fining my birth parents off and on. Since I am now alone and will not hurt my parents I would like to contact my birth parents if they are open.

Thanks

Diane,

Very nice post.

I really appreciate that statement. I identify with the idea that one was 'choosen' as a child, by the Adopted parents (as opposed to being raised as an 'accident').

Then also there is the choice the Birth Mother made, that she would allow us a better opportunity then she might offer..... yes feeling special is a good way to put it.

Thankful for the woman who choose to carry me and give me life, and my parents who raised me.
