I have never posted on this particular forum category, but after reading this article in today's paper, I am VERY VERY thankful for my bmom, or her mom choosing life for me.

No matter how much being adopted has affected me emotionally at times, the alternative is MUCH worse!

Thanks mom, or bgrandmom, for caring for me enough to make arrangements for my life...........................

...officers were still investigating the case, and it was too soon to say if the woman will face criminal charges.

I would say the woman should definitely face charges. What could she have been thinking? That little boy would have died!

Wow Karen, makes mine look like a picnic in the park! I, too am thankful everyday for finding my bmom, and bsibs, they have colored so much of my rainbow.

I wish I had contact w/my bmom, but she denied contact "at this time" a little over 1 year ago............

Still thankful for life though.............things could have turned out so different......................................

I hate reading stories like this and it is beyond me how anyone could do it. One of the nicest things my son ever said to me was that he was happy to be alive.

Yes it is a wonderful thing to hear from birthchildren...I wrote this poem to my birthdaughter while I was searching for her...and when I found her, she thanked me for a wonderful life...it cleared my mind to know that she is enjoying her life. You can read it here:

i've changed it again now i'm "sort of searching"

I found out from my dad that, contrary to my belief, Dorothy has no idea that they are the ones that adopted me. I always thought she knew and had chose to NOT find them, and then me.

It was a blow
rocked me back on my heels
took a lot of anger out of me too.

I am going to submit my info to the Iowa Adoption Registry, on the off chance that she told my sisters about me and they would start their search there
