Cool For the very first time....

This is my very first post, as I never knew a forum like this exists. This is also the first time I've really ever taken steps to locate my birth parents.....so let's see how this goes. I can tell you by reading some of the posts today - I've felt less alone out here than I have in some time. Thank You all!!!!

I was born in St. Anne Hospital (a home for unwed mothers) in Los Angeles, April 6th 1962. Although I am not 100% positive this is correct, I do believe my last name at birth was, Alloy. Natalie Marie Alloy. Could have been her last name or the birth fathers.

My Wonderful and Loving adopted parents were foster parents for Los Angeles County, late 50's and early 60's, just as the laws were passed allowing foster parents to adopt.

My name is Natalie (they kept the birth name) Born April 6th 1962 to a young 18 year old unwed mother, whom I am sure felt very alone and scared and could not take care of a baby all on her own. To make matters worst, I was born with a heart condition. I was born with a small hole in the heart, which by the grace of God went away as I got older.

She was of Hawaiian descent and worked as a secretary in Los Angeles. As I understand, the birth father was also 18 and worked as a temporary truck driving also in the LA area.
Both parents lost their own parents very young and were orphans themselfeves. It was very important to her that I be placed in a Catholic home, which I was. She wrote letters to the agency worker, Mrs. Dollar, after placing me for adoption making sure I was ok and that I was placed in a loving environment. This went on for up to a year.

I, like many of you are curious, who if anyone do I look like? Do I have siblings? I have a wonderful and intelligent 19-year-old daughter who is my "Mini-Me" as people have commented.

If anyone has any information or can tell me how to go about collecting information please respond to this posting.
