I was blessed to find someone who emailed me many of the necessary forms for completing our own step parent adoption in Texas. As a Thank You to that person and to help others I am attaching the files sent to me so other's may access them on the forum. God Bless. D

Talking Thank you

your forms helped me greatly, I used them in terminating the rights of my son's biological father and we are in the process of my husband adopting my son. Without your forms we were stuck in the mud, thank you and I wish you and your family all of the happiness in the world.

Thank you

I wanted to thank you for putting the documents here on line for others to share. This can be an expensive process with out having to pay legal fees to a lawyer.

Regards,

John

Thank you SO much for this! I am trying to start the process of my ex signing over his right and allowing my husband to adopt my son. It has been over a year since my ex has had contact with my 5 year old. I have been with my husband for over 3 years and my son loves him! Our budget is tight and this helps a great deal! Once again thanks!!! God Bless!!!!

I have a question regarding these forms. First I was wondering if they needed to be altered at all to fit our oown situation. For instance, I was never married to my sons father so on the ORIGINAL PETITON FOR TERMINATION it states something about no other court proceedings excpet when granted a divorce. Does that need to be taken out, or just ignored? Also, does the state of Texas update forms frequently or will these forms be sufficient? Thanks in advance for any responses!
