contacting birth father
I know that in Texas, if you do not have contact information for the birth father, you are required to post an add in order to find him. Has anyone done this before? I need to know how long to post the add, what it has to say, and how many papers need to have it posted. Also, if I do find him, and serve him the papers, but he refuses to sign them, do I have to hire a lawyer at that point? Or just continue with filing the petition for adoption and let the judge know that he is refusing consent during the hearing?
