In Bexar county we have to have a social study done. I haven't been able to get the court house & I was wondering if anyone had the form or an example what it looks like. I have gotten everything but that & that is what I need. Thank you in advance.

Our court did not offer such services, so we picked up yellowpage and start calling Social Workers. The questions you should ask are 1) Are they trained to do Home Study for adoption? 2) How much does it cost? and payment methods? 3) How long does the process last?1) is a must. I had some of them telling me they're not qualified to do it. Social workers take extra courses and training for Home Study. 2) We paid $650. $300 up front then the rest when we got the final report. But you can shop around for the reasonable cost 3) it took us almost a month and half to complete -from filling out paperwork, reference letters from our friends, doing the interview, getting the final report.
