Help finding Texas Adoption Forms

Hello,

I am new to this site but I see it as a great resource. I recently got married and I want to adopt her 8 year old son who I have known for over 2 years. I ordered an online adoption preparation from radio adoption because I don't want to get a lawyer. They e-mailed me back and said that because of a computer crash they had lost the adoption forms for Texas and that if I could get the forms sent to them they would then do my adoption for free. So, I'm looking to find all of the Texas Adoption Forms (stepparent, missing biological father, domestic, foreign, etc.). Does anyone have or know where I can get these forms? I've looked all over my county with no luck. For my adoption I need the missing biological father form because we don't know where he is. I would be happy just to get started with that form. If anyone can be of assistance I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Brandon
Denton County, TX

Thumbs up email us.

You can email us and we'll send you forms/info for step-parent adoption (pro-se). We completed our adoption in March 2006 and the bio was missing just like your situation. You will need to serve him by publication (an ad on the newspaper) and probably need to hire an ad litem attorney to represent bio since you won't have a consent from him. Don't sweat, though, by doing most of footwork pro-se, you can save a lot on lawyers fee. We can give you more info on that too.Email to meow_aya@hotmail.comwith "step-parent adoption" in the subject.
