I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to this forum for all your help. I finished up the process for an adult adoption on 4-10-6 for my wife's daughter, and now mine .
The help and insight provided on this forum proved to be invaluable to make our process a quick plainless and lawyer free experience. We even were able to set our court date for her 18th birthday so she got her adoption as a birthday present.
I was able to find the forms i needed (petition, consent, and decree) from here as well as answers to how the process works.
Thanks so much for the support structure you have put in place here. You have touched our lives and it won't be forgotten.

Oh yeah almost forgot. The fees for this adoption in total were 237.00 court costs plus another 25.00 they came up with after the fact about how because the girl was born in texas they get to charge more money. No idea what a lawyer would have charged for this.
