Hi,
We just finalized step-parent adoption. We included to change my child's middle name in our cort order. Now i know how and where to get her name changed in the social security card but not sure where/what to do to change information on the birth certificate. Any ideas? Thanks! |

hey Joey,
There is a form the county clerk has that you fill out and they send it off with the decree. When we filed our petition we told them we wanted it to include a new birth certificate. They had no problem with that once they got our extra moiney. i do not remember the name of the form but it was orange in color and a lengthy one page set up. The clerk made the comment when we were filling it out and had a question that "lawyers" usually fill those out. We got it done though. Hope this helps. |
