Question Denton County Adoption Help

Does anyone know how step parent friendly the courts are in Denton County? I have three kids 13, 11, and 9. I have been married to a wonderful man who wishes to adopt the children for a little over four years, but has been in their lives for about six. The BF lives in either Indiana or Michigan-I do not have his phone number or address, but I do have his mom's. We are just starting this journey and need helped in heading in the right direction. My email address is stephanie_k_burkett@hotmail.com if you have any information you can share.

Stephanie,

I too am in Denton County. I sent you the information you need for a step-parent adoption. It's very friendly here in Denton. Didn't have any problems.

Smile I am in Denton County also!

My husband actually adopted my son a year after we were married - so I have been through the whole step parent adoption thing. It was not done in Denton County - but if you have any questions, I will help however I can!

Denton County Step Parent Adopt

I am looking to terminate biological mom's rights by agreement and do a step parent adoption also in Denton County. If anyone has any advice or forms it would be greatly appreciated. jennifergray777@hotmail.com
