Adopted Foster Child 20 years ago

Our son was known as Larry Patrick Lynch and we changed his name at the time of adoption to Patrick Arlie Smith. Smile Re: Adopted Foster Child 20 years ago

To any that may find theirselves losing hope and feeling helpless is why I am responding to this archived post. I am the Birth Mother mentioned that was being searched for and that "adopted foster child adopted 20 years ago" is my birthson. I found my son here in the Adoption Forums thanks to the unending, unselfish love shown by his "other" Mother. She began the search for me even before my Birth son. How wonderful of a person she must be to set aside her personal feelings to offer "our" son the missing part of his life! Without her, I would most likely still be searching and may have never found him. I have a deep gratitude for her overwhelming love and unselfishness. We are now a part of each other's life....and that is a mutual feeling...something we both wish to do.

For all of the Adoptive Mothers out there willing to go that extra mile for that child they chose and grew to love......a very special Thank-you for being who you are!
