My agency told me that it takes about 3 months after the adoption for the subsidy to start. Did anyone else wait this long? And when do you usually get it the subsidy? Begining or mid month.

I don't remember it taking that long when I adopted my son. I get my check (direct deposited) around the 4th of every month.

No it doesn't take any longer then they process the paperwork. Usually you will sign at the end of the month and you will get a check in the mail the next month. They will give you a direct deposit application and that will start in two months.

We received our adoptive placement from Texas on June 30th. Although she's not yet adopted we already get adoption subsidy b/c she's an adoptive placement (somethgn that still confuses me b/c we dont do it like that here LOL!). We got our first payment in mid July for the month of July and have gotten each one in the first week of the month every since! It was very quick!! I still need to get my direct deposit paperwork filled out but we just get paperchecks for now
