Greater Houston Meet-Up
Hi! I am willing to organize a foster/adopt/potential parent coffee for those in the Houston Area.....

Aug 13- Selected to be Mom to R (7 yr old girl!)
Aug 18-Read File (both boxes full!)
Aug 20- start pre-placement communication
Aug 28- no visit/come home
Oct 20 09- Finalize!

Great!! I am willing to play hostess but am entering in to pre-placement with a 7 yr old in the next week! My calendar has no clue when I am available until DFPS lets me know when the visits are actually going to be! I will send out a mass invite in the next two weeks or so. To a public place of course!

Me and my hubbys adoption Journey
We have two Bio children a 5 year old boy and 1 year old girl.

July 8th 2009 Found R on Tare and feel in love with her sweet smile!!
July 14th 2009 went to orientation meeting! ( wow that was an experience!)
July 15th received screening call from CPS
Will wait to start Pride til we can do saturday classes.

Hoping to adopt a little girl who just turned 7 although there are already people way a head of us in the process that are interested in her as well.

Hi waiting4bebe. Thanks for the well wishes.

Princess (a very appropriate nickname for our daughter to be) is 9 years old. We did get to meet her on Wednesday and then ---- we got to keep her all day on Saturday. It was wonderful and we enjoyed the time we had with her. I can't wait until Friday night when we get to visit with her again.

HI Ladies aand Gentlemen! Sorry for the delay it has been 2 months and 2 weeks since I brought home my daughter and we finalized on Oct. 20 after the judge waived the six month waiting period.

So it's been a bit of a roller coaster!

December 6th at 2 p.m. I will be happy to meet anyone one interested in a meet up. I've a kid friendly place in mind but for saftey reasons I'd prefer if you PM me with your "real" name and I'll let you know our "secret" location!
