Confused
A month after being approved I have finally ben assigned an adoptive worker. Now I met her yesterday....and I'm underwhelmed. Perhaps her enthusiasm will make up for her lack of knowledge. For example I mentioned a little girl with Reactive Attachment issues and she said "what's that?"
 As she explained the process she mentioned a RAS meeting I asked if that was the same as a staffing and what it stood for she said "yeah I think it's the same, I don't know what it sands for." She also said that she can see only kids from our region...and the kids on TARE. Is that right? There is no statewide broadcasts outside of TARE? Can that be right?

Aug 20- start pre-placement communication Aug 28- no visit/come home  Oct 20 09- Finalize!

Hey texas mom,
I am a texas mom as well. and I am most certain you and I are interested in the same child!!!! Actually I am positive that we are! Isn't she just precious!!! I know God will place her with who he has in plan for her, so please do not think I am trying to be vendictive or anything about this child. If it is his plan I know it is right!!!! I would be interested in talking to you exchange knowledge of what we know of her, I talked to a CW that told me a little bit more. Wanna chat???? Love always, Crystal

For example, my agency in the Houston region now (as of quite recently) sees broadcasts in Dallas based on some special relationship/request they have with the Dallas region CPS. So she's probably right, but if the agency wants to badly enough, they can expand their capabilities to some extent..... IMO

Really??? I just KNEW they had access to the entire state's database...this sounds odd..like they are almost MAKING people look at the kids in their region even though there could be a better match across the state....
