So, update on possible adoption placements 5 y/o D and 3 y/o T. I called my cw yesterday evening to stress to her that DH and I were flexible on scheduling visits between D and T between the time that D adjusts and T moves in. We don't want something that small to stop things from happening. She rushed off the phone with me before I could tell her why I was calling and said she would call me right back. At 9 this morning she finally called me and told me she was having trouble with her son last night and couldn't call me back. I understand, things happen. So, I told her what I was calling for and also asked if she had heard ne thing from the adoption worker about what the plan was to move D from the RTC to our home and she said she should hear something today and she would call me as soon as she did. Well, no word all day. I had to call agency at 2 to find out if there would be someone in the office for me to turn in some training hour papers, and the receptionist told me that cw would be in meeting, but I could bring it on it. About 2:15 I arrived to find cw sitting at her desk with her feet propped up chit chatting with a friend. So, I gave her the paperwork and turned to leave and she said: "Hey the adoption worker requested your homestudy today, and I sent it in". I said "so we haven't been approved yet?" She said we had Monday! She said "No! But it should be fine", I said "Is it a good thing that the adoption worker is requesting our homestudy" and she said "yes, but there is one bad thing, we changed your license to accept all levels of kiddos, but not your homestudy". I asked her if she could send an email to the worker saying that it just hadn't been changed yet, or call her to let her no, but she said she would just wait and see if we were denied, and if that was the reason, then she would tell her. I don't get it, wont they go ahead and place the girls in another home if we are denied for only being "BASIC" on our homestudy? D is moderate. What if we don't have time to correct it? Shouldn't my cw be fighting for us to get these girls? I'm so sad and frustrated. I don't know what to do. I thought about even calling the adoption worker myself, but cw said there was no need and wouldn't give me her info. I'm scared things aren't going to work out and I don't know if I can keep going through this if they don't. What should I think of all this? Anyone had similar situations? P.S. CW been difficult since beginning, but small agency and no other cw's to switch to. This waiting is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I would call the CW or her supervisor and let them know how excited you are about D & T and that you understand they've recieved your homestudy. Since you've had some adjustments since it was orginally done you'd like to fax over a copy of your liscinse (sic) so they can see what your current status is.

If you know the region, then you should be able to work your way down the phone tree to ay least CW's superior.

I'm sorry. I completely understand being frustrated.
