regional issues

I am in region 6 and I am hoping to adopt two little girls who are currently in region 11....

I "heard" some things that concern me. lying or miscommunication, delay for strange reasons, etc.....

Does anyone have experience in dealing between two regions and how to smooth that out.

(I can't even imagine trying to do interstate ICPC )

Been there.

I adopted my boys from a different region in Texas than I lived. We actually had no problems at all. The lawyer we chose was very experienced with CPS adoptions and was able to guide us thru the process. The actual placement was handled thru my agency. They had a division in each region. After termination, we had the case moved from Cameron county to Bexar county and the adoption process took less than a month. We had the boys as foster children for over a year before termination so the 6 month waiting period was already done. Best advice I ever had was to make sure the attourney was experienced with CPS adoptions. Best wishes.

I'm in region 11. What do you want to know. Maybe you'd better PM me if you have specific questions.
