OT - Things to do in Fort Worth
Would any of you give suggestions for things to do in Fort Worth? We are relatively new to Dallas and have some family and friends visiting this summer. Wanted any suggestions on things to do in Fort Worth, since we haven't really been in that area before. Primarily it's my MIL and my hubby's aunt visiting in 2 1/2 wks for a weekend.
Are the stockyards fun to visit? Anything else to walk around and see that doesn't cost a bundle? Thanks!!

The fort worth zoo is beautifl- much nicer than dallas. And check out the rose gardens, japanese gardens and the rainforest green house at the Ft woth Botanical Gardens. The water gardens are nice too.

I have been to the Ft Worth Zoo and while I think there are much better zoos in other parts of the country, I remember thinking that it is a PERFECT zoo for children. Take your kids there on a nice day and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It is really cute inside there and lots of shady spots too. I have also heard that is much better than the Dallas zoo. Hopefully, I will have a foster child to take there someday to enjoy it.

I would not suggest Dallas Zoo, Forth Worth Zoo is much better, there are also lots of things in Dallas. Like downtown where the JFK assaination museum is great..and good places to eat at West End, also great venues at the Majestic Theater...not sure if you will have a sitter, but these are great places to check out if you ever get a chance...
