Medicaid....
Does anyone know if I need to fill out any papers to change from foster medicaid to traditional? Also are there any other benefits that I should sign up for before the adoption is final? I was told there is a child care benefit that we can get, it won't change anything but I don't want to leave any benefits sitting on the table.

The change to traditional medicaid is done by CPS if it is agreed upon in the subsidy agreement. I don't believe daycare is negotiable. We had it as foster parents but it stopped when we adopted. We use our monthly subsidy to help pay daycare.

That makes sense I didn't think we had to do anything further since subsidy is already in place. I don't care about daycare but I don't want to lose Medicaid since we have to keep it to get the college benefit.
Thanks!!

Keep in mind that different dr's take the foster medicaid and the traditional medicaid. Might want to check with your dr if they continue to take traditional medicaid.
I know where we are I take the foster kids to one dr and my ad to another dr...since one takes traditional and not the foster care one. It's slim pickings in this are to find a good dr that takes either one. Congrats on the soon to final adoption!!
