family size limitations?
I read online last night that texas has a limit on the size of your family(no more than 6 children in a home) for foster care placement. Is that true? We were looking to move to San Antonio this summer. We have 7 children and wanted to accept a foster child into our home...but from what I read we would not qualify...Is that right?

A foster home is limited to 6 total children.
Requirements for Foster/Adopt Families (TARE) But, there is another type of licence called a Foster Group Home which can care for additional children while meeting additional requirements. DFPS - Frequently Asked Questions--Residential Child Care Licensing Standards

Thanks...I just was a little amazed by that.
I am totally new to this anyone have insight to licensing our family as a foster group home!?!
