I am feeling so frustrated.
My worker did my home eval on Wed MArch 11.
She asked me at the time: "We already did your homestudy right?"
I said no, but I'd really like to get it done!

It's the last f&*%%^$%^ step in the approval process for me.

She assured me they'd call me the next week. She'd make sure.

I called her last friday to say "Everything ok?"

She said it didn't go out because the contractors only come one day a week, but to expect a call this week.

Well it's Friday. no call.


AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

If they don't call today I'm going to call again this afternoon to say WTF?

I know the waiting is hard. This really illustrates the need for folks to contract and do home studies. There's a lot going on to increase the number of foster/adopt homes due to the increased number of children in the state's care. Unfortunately, the numbers of folks that do the homestudies is lacking behind in part due to the regulations and requirements they have to meet. Supply cannot meet demand at this point and so it takes a while.

I was told by my PRIDE teacher that after the pride classes are complete, they have 60 days to do the home study and get you licensed. DH & I are "pushers" meaning if we see no contact a week after we're done with PRide, we'll be calling.

Our file sat on someones desk for over 39days , till we called a Superviser and got the ball rolling again . It still took a year for us to get our license ,and another 45 days before we got a child.
