locked container for refrigerated meds

What is everyone using for a locked container for your fridge? I looked on line and all the ones I find are around 60-100 or more .

Locking meds

We used a small plastic tool box that had a place to add a padlock.

I use a round canister with a locking lid(the kind that snaps downward) and I put a small lock through it.

I use a small gun safe. It's big enough for quite a bit of medication, has a combination lock with a key back up. Cost about $35.00 and doesn't take up too much space.

RCCL (Random Child Care Licensing) came to inspect our home. We had bought another safe to use in the fridge. After telling the inspector how hard it was to find things the right size, shape etc for our Oral meds, External meds, refrigerated meds, and 2 boxes for Psychotropic meds that have to be double-locked, she said that all we needed was a Huggies wipe box, drill a hole in the flap that holds it closed, and put a small numbered pad-lock in it. That's all that is required is that is be "locked".

We've used dry boxes/tackle boxes for our locked storage. We love to go outside and knew that we'd be able to use them when we no longer need to lock our meds and ammo up. (I should say when our Ammo can go back in the fire-proof safe with the guns as we have a huge safe that holds it all and is more secure, in truth, than a plastic box with a lock on it.)

We use a make-up case with a luggage lock through the zipper-pulls. We actually have the same set-up for the non-refrigerator meds. RCCL hasn't been out, but our CW, homestudy and health inspections all OK'd this arrangment.
