Pain
Ok does the pain ever go away? I just lost two of my foster children. They are brothers. one I picked up from the hospital and the other is 6 I have had them for 10 months now and they went to live with an aunt and uncle, I knew the day would come. I knew I would miss them, but I feel like someone has ripped a chunck of my heart out.

I really hope the pain goes away b/c I am about to do the same exact thing. This system is so completely messed up. He belongs here, in our arms. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that it gets better for you. I am in Texas too.

I don't know if the pain ever truly goes away, however my husband and I went through the same situation during the summer. Our girls were RU with an aunt an uncle and we had been with them for 11 months (straight from the hospital)... When they left I sent my contact information and a picture album as well as lots of notes about their everyday schedule and likes/dislikes. The aunt gave me many phone calls and let me speak to the girls. That was a big help in our being able to move on. Our girls were returned to our family after only six weeks and we were able to adopt them in November due to our open comunication and friendship that we developed with the aunt and uncle. They knew how much we truly loved the girls and they felt like we were better able to take care of the girls in the long run. They are still a part of our lives and we are blessed to have known them. I will keep your family in my thoughts as I know how truly heartbreaking the loss is.
