Hi. I'm new to this forum. I wish I had found it months ago. It would have saved me a lot of frustration.
My husband and I have been fp's to a beautiful baby girl since July. She is our first placement. We have been going through CPS, but for a variety of reasons are thinking of switching to a private agency. My question is, if we switch will we have to go through the whole licensing process again (application, PRIDE, homestudy, etc.)? ETA: I am in the Houston area. You shouldn't have to go through everything again. I believe all that stuff will transfer. I'd call around and check because there might be a few additional requirements depending on which agency you choose.
Going with an agency is nice, especially since Texas is privatizing the foster care system anyway. If you stay in long enough, you will have to get an agency. I have a great agency. I'm not in Houston but my agency is statewide. If you are interested, send me a message and I'll tell you who it is. |

Thanks for your reply. I will do that.
And if anyone else wants to PM me with agency recommandations I would more than appreciate it. |
