I just got the call that our homestudy will be on july 23. Does anyone know how long that the preperation for homestudy will be once we have the meeting. The cw told us 4-6 weeks but I was hoping that someone recently has gone thru the same thing and could tell me how long the wait will be to be liscened in Region 3. Thank so much we are sooooo excited.

So much depends on your licensing body and if you are with an agency.

We will be licensed one month after finishing PRIDE, which took a month. Others we know that have worked with CPS took a LONG time, but I'm sure it varies by region and office.

I don't have an answer for you, but I do have a couple of questions for you. Are you working with CPS or an Agency? How long did it take once you turned in your paperwork to be scheduled for homestudy, get info on PRIDE classes? Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to orientation June 8. We started PRIDE June 10. Our final home visit was June 30. The first writeup of our homestudy was submitted to our agency July 25th. Corrections and clarifications were made, and our homestudy was approved for verification on August 4th. August 16th we had our SW out to our house to sign the final documents. We're not region 3, and we went through a non-profit.

Hopefully 4 weeks or even sooner, but yes can take 6 weeks. Thjey tell you longer so you wont be too disspaointed if they get tied up. From the day we get our homestudy (we had EVERYTHING lese done already and it took FOREVER -7 months- for CPS to schedule our home study!!!) - once they did that, it took about 3-4 weeks to submit, edit, resubmit paperwork, and tie up loos eends in all the other paperwork submitted previously. Adter that we were official, but form the time we started PRIDE to be certified actually took us almost 9 months!!
