I can not believe how fast things are going. We went in this morning and got licensed. We got home around 11:30 and I just got the call for a placement. I am now waiting on them to call back for the when.

told you they will call over and over make sure you ask alot of questions so these kids arent there for only a couple days

They are actually going to family as soon as they can get that taken care of. Family is out of state. They are currently in Foster care just moving homes.

Out of curiosity, what kind of child are you looking for? We we licensed three months ago and have heard nothing. We're in Austin. I'm thinking that our requirements are too narrow.

are you emergency placement? if yes then they may be to narrow if no then think about emergency because we get a call almost everyday.Sad to say we have turned down proably 20 kids

I guess I will answer your question in 2 parts.

the first part is we are willing to foster just about anything 0-4. Also I am a stay at home Mom. I don't know if that makes a difference.

the second part is we will adopt only caucasion and want a girl around the age of 6 or 7 and are willing to take kids with problems as we have a son with Asperger Syndrome.

You might call your placement worker and see if you are for sure on the foster list. I have heard that some people were not placed on the foster list only adopt even though they would do both.
