FT. Worth Area Medicaid Pediatrician?
Can someone give me a name of a Pediatrician who accepts medicaid? Our current pediatrician doesn't and I need one for our 3 newbie children. Denton will also be fine. We are located between Ft worth and Denton.
Thanks Lea |

Is there no central registry or anything? How are we to find out who carries it except for calling every one in the phone book or through word of mouth? You'd think there'd be something you could call or log onto, wouldn't you?

Dr. Sandra Arca in Grapevine, off of William D. Tate and 121 - She is with the Cook's Children's Clinic there. She was a WONDERFUL Dr. for my special needs son and is now my niece’s ped.
If Grapevine isn't an option (I'm not sure where you are between Ft. Worth and Denton) I can call a girlfriend tomorrow who can give me the name of her Ped, who is in Ft. Worth (She travels from Bridgeport to see him/her). If you can stand the drive to Grapevine tho - I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Arca…her bedside manner is amazing and she is just a great woman all the way around (I actually followed her practice from Hurst to Grapevine, I liked her so much!) I should add - I know she took Medicaid as recently as five yeas ago - when I moved away - so give her a call just to make sure!

Now that I think about it - it might actually be Hall Johnson and 121...

Don't panic LOL ... I just couldn't remember where I had put the email with the state medicaid number and I didn't want to take someone else's chance to post.
This info is from crikkit: medicaid 1-800-335-8957All workers have this number, so if you're like me and keep losing it, ask them for it. One of these days I'm going to remember to write it down in a better place! I'm not holding my breath though! LOL
