Officially licensed in Texas
We got the call yesterday! Very excited to be FP. And went through the process incredibly fast at a total of 3m from orientation to license. Now the waiting begins. We are lic for 2 children ages 0-5 and wonder about the time wait. Anyone have experience with the average wait? We are open to race and sex and some problems just not big medical ones.

Congratulations on getting licensed!! Where in Texas are you located at? We live in the Houston area and it took us 5 months from start to finish. They brought us our 5 mo fd when they brought us our license. She had been abused but no major medical problems.

I would go to search.com and type in "Dallas Foster Agencies" and it should list the private agencies available in Dallas. Or contact your local office of TDPRS - Texas Dept of Protective and Regulatory Services.
