updated events of Sophie

I have been trying to get the CPS lady to return my calls I have been placing since the 14th in regards to why we can't even have visitation with Sophie. Finally an answer the Foster family has appealed to the courts to retain custody of Sophie for the year that CPS has given my sister to clean up her act. The att ad litem really likes the Foster Family and is presenting this to the Judge on Dec 4th, I have never even met this attorney she does not know me. How can she make a decision like that without even meeting me. CPS is still going to reccomend my home as placement to the courts. I was told I may need an attorney if the courts turn down my home for placement. My parents Spohie's natural grandparents were given visitation rights in court by the Judge after Sophie was in place for 6 weeks. They never got any visitations with her and it's been 5 months now. I was granted supervised visits by CPS starting the 18th of this month and was told by CPS that the family (US) could take her out for 1 hour for her birthday on Dec 3rd and now we can't even see her. To me this is all some kind of game I did not have any of these problems when I adopted Zack 9 years ago. I can't believe that the Attorney ad litem has this much power over CPS, to just completely stop any visits with the natural family. So that leaves me with another question who has custody of Sophie CPS or the Att ad litem. I feel like I'm being toyed with by both parties. I have nothing against Foster Parents they have a tough job and I can understand the bond issues but...when there is a relative seeking custody of a child and the Foster Family is aware of that, they should be doing everything in thier power to let the family reunite not keep them apart. I sent Sophie a Family picture of us all and labled it for her so she could learn to identify us for the transition to our home. The Foster Family turned it over to the attorney ad litem. Our caseworker from CPS was upset about that one and stated she was going to look into it. I just don't understand how this Attorney is thinking it makes no sense at all. We had a bond with Sophie when she was taken does this not count...I am really upset with my sister for this mess she was given a year to get off of drugs and get her life straight, it has been 5 months and she has done nothing so far. You would think after loosing her first born son over drugs that she would have learned a lesson but I guess she is having too much fun on the streets to think about her daughter. It's a crying shame that Her children have to suffer.

A really ticked off Aunt
