Hi.... I am COMPLETELY lost and don't even know where to get started... My daughter's father is adopted. His adoptive parent's are very sensitive to the subject and he doesn't want to hurt them so he won't even bring it up to them. I am trying DESPERATELY to find his birth parent(s) because it's killing him not knowing... All we really know is that he was born around Dumas, Texas, close to Amarillo on 11-4-1959 and that his adoptive parents are Earl and Jane Worsham. ANY assistance anyone out there could give me as to how to get started would help SO MUCH!!!!!!! Thanks so much.......

Hello, i just found your posting, not by going on this site, but by looking up support groups for Amarillo, Texas.adoption.com, helped me to find my niece and nephews. I may be asking a dumb question, but have you went through internet phone books to see if their names pop up? That is a start. And have you posted your info to the adoption registry? Like i said these may be dumb questions that i have asked but it is a start. I will do some hunting and see what i come up with. I live here in Amarillo, Texas, and have family that live in Dumas. I do not know if that helps, but i will try. ...

Hello!! I am an adoptee and i live in the Amarillo-Dumas area. Do you know if he was adopted through an agency around here or the Dept. of Health? That would tell a lot on where to start. Good Luck!!

I was hoping dewsgirl would pop back in and give more info. All the hits i have gotten, you have to get a paid subscription. Me finding all my sibilings have been by going on adoption registries. So i do not know what to tell her. The hits i got was off the people finder web-site, that runs through ancestry.com. I also got hits off of genealogy.com. I am not current on all of the search web-sites. the ones i have serached through, have been out of Oklahoma, and Kansas. That was when i was trying to find my sibilings. Any help that you can give, i know she would really appreciate. ...

search help
Dear Dewsgirl, There is an adoption registry it is a called tx.care, and the web address is www.txcare.org . they have a place where you can enter your search info and register, as well as triad groups that you can join and get support as well as help. They do work i have used the ones out of Oklahoma, and Kansas, they helped me to find all four of my siblings. Because i went on ancestry.com, as well as genealogy.com, those are the only places that i got any hits on Earl Worsham, but you have to pay to access the records. But i would at least register with the Tx care, and get your info out there. I know it is a small start. I am sorry that i have not been much help. My husbands grandmother lives in Dumas, and has all her life, and could not remember a Earl or Jane Worsham. I thought she might be able to because her husband was a sherrif, and it being a small town you get to know everybody. Take care. I will keep looking, and will give any info i find.
