Hello everyone! I am a doctoral student at North Carolina State University conducting research on transracial adoption and effective parenting styles. I have developed an identity development theory that explains what adoptive parents should expect in each stage of development from birth to early adulthood and how each of these stages and situations should be handled for healthy identity development. I would like to utilize the Transracial Adoptive Parenting Scale in assessing what parenting practices are/would be used most often by both current and hopeful transracial adoptive parents. The scale should take about 5-10 min. to complete. I am willing to provide a small compensation for your time, as well as sharing the results of the study with all participants upon completion.
