For me, football IS a holiday, so I thought I would toss this in here....(plus DD was born on Thanksgiving, a REAL holiday and a huge football day...I timed my contractions while watching the Dallas/Detroit game last year)

Anyway, is anyone else crazy excited that the NFL season kicks off tonight??

TGM, YES! Football and hockey have always been my distraction from life's ups and downs. I've got my picks in for the pool (although I've never won, I'm hopeful this year). No matter which city we visit on vacation if there is a game we always get tickets. I've spent a fair amount of time in the nosebleed section but it's always a blast.

As I think a lot of people know (since I talk about it constantly, haha) I'll be in Boston next weekend for the Chargers-Patriots game.

Then I'll go to San Diego for the Colts game (Those are my boys!!!! ) and then I'm taking my brother to the Cardinals-Rams game in Arizona!!!

TMom, I kniew I liked you for some reason (ha!). OMG, I am a football fanatic (GO PATS!! I can't believe you like those "wussy" Colts!!).

I am in not one but two big pools. One is an elimination pool (have to pick one "winner" every week -- can not use same team twice). The other is a pick every game against the spread. I hope to retire on my winnings.

Believe it or not, I am rooting for Colts tonight (have 'em in my pool!).

A friend of mine who had a "shotgun wedding" got married on Superbowl Sunday...everyone was outraged! And everyone kept sneaking to the bar to watch the game!

Actually, when I met DH I could not have told you what a first down was. Now, I see things in a different light. Of course I did not have much of a choice...DH has a Seahawks arm-band tattoo, and "his" room is the family room...or should I say Seahawks room? It is painted gray with Seahawks wallpaper boarder, ceiling fan, and all his memorabilia...and he has been collecting for YEARS!

I have really come to love watching it myself...GO Peyton adn the Colts tonight!

B-n-B'sMommy, our friend's cousin plays on the Seahawks (I am blanking on his name...not a starter...and he's Greek). Anyway, our friend got all these Seahawk small "towels" and gave them to us so I also have to root for them (as long as they don't play the Pats!).

I like the seahawks too actually, but like love, not when they're playing my boys!! Who are NOT wussys by the way!! haha

A Pats fan eh?? Usually I really HATE the patriots, but since I'll be in Foxborough next weekend and they're not playing the Colts, I'll probably suck it up and root for them since I'll be going with Pats fans....although interestingly enough the guys I'm going with are guys I randomly met with the Colts destroyed the Pats in the AFC championship game last year! (And by destroyed, I do realize that I mean barely beat! haha)
