Dear Mom,

I hope one of these days you get to read this. This coming 4th of January I turn 36 and there are so many beautiful stories I wish to share with you. Some are happy, some are sad, some are funny and some may even be scary but I want to share them all with you. I also would like to share my love with you because there is one thing I know for sure and it is that I love you very much. I know the only time we spent together was those 9 months before you gave me up for adoption that day in Philadelphia but I know you love me too. To give me the gift of life and a chance at a better life than you thought you could provide me with is proof enough for me that you loved me intensely. Sometimes I wonder if I look at all like you or if I do things the way you do. But most of all I wonder what it feels like to hug you. I have had a beautiful and extremely happy life but I have missed you through it. I love my mother and my family a lot and I know they love me too. That is why I would love for you to meet them so that you will know you made the right choice back then. I just hope you are looking for me too and if you are not right now for whatever reason, I hope one day you change your mind. I love you very much and wish for you and your family a happy new year filled with many blessings. Hugs and kisses.

That is a beautiful letter. I hope your birth mom gets to see it someday. I would love to get a letter like that from my birth daughter someday.
