Thumbs down Bad experience with Stepparent Adoption Book

Hi!
I just got back from the courthouse where I took the forms that I took from the "How to Adopt Your Stepchild in California" book. I'm in Riverside County, where they require specific forms - family law code and probate code.

So - I'm now doing internet law searches. Here is one site:
http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/calaw.html

The filing fee in Riverside County is $200 plus $20 for each adoptable child.

Just thought I'd share. I want to make sure that nobody buys this book for Riverside County, CA - pretty much worthless here.

Unhappy

What problems did you have with that book form. I was told to use that book. I am filing in Riverside County too. I need to find a voluntary termination of parental rights or termination of parental rights. I dont know where to look.

Here i am again. You can get the step parent adoption forms from www.courtinfo.ca.gov and they work for RIV county.
