Ok my fiancee and I are planning to marry someday, she has 4 kids now, and we have one of our own on the way, She and her children are Canadian Citizens not US, and we now live in Nevada USA, so my question is, can I adopt her kids before we get married so I can place them on my health insurance and have them taken care of till we get married? And also Where do I start???

I do not know the laws where you live but I live in IN and we had to wait till we had been married at least a year before he could try to adopt our son. As far as I know most places it is at least 6 months. I would talk with a lawyer, you can usually get a free consultation and at least know what you have to do and how long you have to be married, that is what we did. Hope this helps some. Good luck!
