Can We?
Long story. My 4 year old's biological father is not on her certificate nor were we married so paternity was never established. I understand that I dont need his permission to have my husband adopt her but what i was wondering is if we could just go to the court house and have him sign agreeing to be the father and save us all the adoption drama. Or do we still have to file with the court. Does anyone know?

What you suggest is illegal, so no, you can't and because it violates the law, discussing such matters isn't allowed here on the forums.
It is MUCH easier to go about things legally - which he may not be listed on paperwork as the father of your child - he still maintains rights and if you do anything short of terminating those rights, his rights will remain in tact and there could be legal issues in the long run. Take the required steps. In the end, having things above board is the only way to ensure that everyone's best interest are met.
