Ok heres my stories was with this guy for 2 yrs. i got preg. he left me at 5 months along with my daughter. I feel for you! I was a teen when I had my oldest daughter. I raised her alone because he left without a trace. Know my daughter is 10 going on 11 and my husband wants to adopt her and the lawyers we spoke with say it is going to cost $259 for fees plus $25 for running a add to find her natural father to get consent for the only guy she has only known. We have two other kids and our (my)oldest daughter is the only one in the family that does not have my husbands name. We are desperate to get help so that our (my)oldest daughter can have his last name.

I was so glad to read your story. I have a similar situation. My partner left when I was 6 months pregnant and I haven't see him since. I then met my husband when my son was only 7 months old. We married when he was 19 months old and has always called my husband "Dad". Now my son is 5, and I want to tell him that he has another father and about his heritage - but I have no idea about how to tell my son.

Have you any thoughts - does your daughter know who her real father is?
