I need to know the process for my step dad to adopt me, I am 39
I want to do this for him, and he wants to adopt me, we talked about it when I was 8, but I always hoped my 'real' dad would matriculate, well my 'real' dad died of dementia in 1999. It was so sad, he spent half his life wanting to forget me, but when I was the only one to help him, could not remember me. Does anyone have any info on doing this, I want to complete process by Christmas. Thank you in advance for your time,
