I have been a step parent for 7 years when my step daughter called me from college and asked me to adopt her. I was stunned! I told her that she would always be my daughter in my heart and adoption would never change that. I pointed out all the possible conflicts it could present. She was insistant. Well, I researched and found very little on how to proceed. The courts were useless. My wife and I finally when to a paralegal for about $400. Should all be comleted in about a month.

So, does anyone know where I can find adult adoption announements? Any party suggestions? I was thinking of making up some engravings with her new name on them. Yes, she is also changing her name to mine! Any other recommendations?

AmericanGreetings.com has some create and print cards that you can edit and print from home or have them sent to you. Click: Create and Print. Select: Baby, and then announcements and then greeting cards. There are some adoption announcements. Some could be used for an older child and like I said you can edit them to your liking. Including adding pictures of your own. Or maybe you just want to steal some of the wording to design your own.
