When my boyfriend and I get married we want to look into him adopting my 3 yr old daughter. He is a UK citizen and we are from the US. We will be immigrating to the UK this next year. My daughter's father signed an order of relinquishment when she was born (long story) and therefore has no legal father. What is the best way to go about my future husband adopting my daughter in the future? (especially because of 2 countries being involved) Do we need to do the adoption in the US or can we do it from the UK?

You can often get a consultation with an attorney for a small fee or for free sometimes. There is also a lot of information available in your local law library. Good luck to you and your family.
