Did you ever get a responce? I have not. I would love to have any information that you are able to find out. I plan on going to my local clerk of court hopefully this week. My son is going to 14 and my husband wants to adopt him. The birth father has not been in the picture since he was 3 years old. My husband is the only father my son know. Am I going to need consent from the birth father? And the fact that child support has not been paid in 10 years make my case stronger?
