I am the step mom to two beautiful boys ages 6 and 4. I also have three of my own. In Sep.2004 my husband and I went to court and the department of children and families gave him full custody of the boys. Visitation was up to us to decide and we dropped the childsupport figuring she would stay away and we could get on with our lives. Well a year later, no childsupport and hell on wheels we are ready to terminate her rights. She disappears for months on end, involved in drugs and we have witnessed her intoxicated, threatens us and has been seen smoking crack while the children were with her. We have terminated her visits after we heard all of this. She is now calling and making idol threats. The cops will not take us serious. I'm ready to adopt them but I am not sure what I need to do. Lawyers fees are outrageous! I was pro se my own messy custody battle and wound up winning full custody. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Try this web site.

There are the family law and forms. Maybe this will help. Also check with the superior clerk or the clerk that handles adoption in your county. |
