Southern California - Denial of Paternity or Waiver of Further Notice HELP!!!!
I am concerned that the biological (alleged) father is going to claim that he is not the father of my son. From what I read in the Nolo guide (and not in the chapter on termination), I can simply ask him to sign A Denial of Paternity or a Waiver of Further Notice, and file those with the court. Does anyone know anything about this? Do these forms need to be served to him or can I just mail them? When would I file these forms? Finally, on the adoption request would I check that we seek to terminate his rights, or would I check that he has voluntarily given up his rights? I would be so grateful for some advice ...
