Indiana Step parent adoption
I live in Indiana. My husband, with which I have three children with, is deceased. I have remarried and have thrre children with my current husband. Can my current husband adopt my children with my previous children without them losing their social security death benefits from their deceased father. Also, he is interested in adopting the kids, but does not want to change the name of my son, as he was the only boy me and my husband had and my husband feels that it is very important for him to carry on this last name. Thanks for any help.
