What if the birth father (never married) cannot be found ??
Hi,
I had a child when single, and was never married to that man. I married to my present husband recently who now wants to adopt the girl. We tried contacting the birth father to obtain the consent possibly, to no avail - cannot be found anywhere we tried !! In PA law, how do we proceed with this situation that his consent cannot be obtained due to unknown whereabout? He hasn't involved in our life for a long time - no child support (never requested anyway) or contacting the child. Anyone with an idea, please advise. Thanks !! |

Get an Adoption Attorney and go from there.
