I've drafted our own step-parent adoption documents up to this point and am in the last stretch here but missed some things on the adoption decree, AKA "General Judgment of Adoption" and am feeling a little discouraged. Would anyone be willing to share their document or be willing to guide me on the points I need to address in the General Judgment? The clerk in the family law dept of Multnomah County is SO pleasant to deal with and SO helpful! (I hope my sarcasm is clear here. Not sure when she'll tire of telling me I need to hire an atty.) The rest was a piece of cake but now that time has gone by since I drafted the petition, I've forgotten the fine points. Thanks in advance!! My husband is wanting to adopt my son and we have filled out the necessary forms, however I yet to see anything regarding the General Judement of Adoption. I am very curious as to what you found out and if you would be willing to show me an example of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have found Robin Pope to be really helpful. If it's just a sample of a form, she may be able to just provide that to you without your actually hiring her as an attorney. Good luck..
