Smile Termination of rights in Indian

Hi,
I just found this place and have a few questions that hopefully someone can anwer. #1 Do you need an attorney to terminate rights in Indiana? #2 If not what are the exact forms that are needed to be downloaded online? #3 Is it even possible if you do not know the parents whereabouts? Thank you in advance to anyone who replies. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jennifer

My husband and I are going through the process now to have him legally adopt my daughter. It has been a process and we did need an attorney but it has only cost us $900 and it was well worth it I would have pay 10 times more Hope I helped.

My husband adopted my daughter in Indiana, and we hired a lawyer to do so. You can do it alone, but an adoption is a thing that is batter to have help to amke sure everything is done right. It cost us around 2500 after the home studay and everything, but my ex contested it and that drew the process out a lot longer than needed. We also think the money was well worth it and would have spent every dime we had to make her life complete. Good luck and remember to breath, it can be frustrating!

Sorry to post late on this...

We're using Kirsch and Kirsch, and they were really helpful before we even gave them a dime. Maybe just call an adoption attorney to find out what the process is like from their point of view.

HTH!
