adoption in AZ-what if bio is deported??
We would like to begin the adoption process, but dont know were to start. I now know that the bio. has been deported and a child support case I had in another state has been closed because of this. Can anyone suggest the road I need to take. Can I use paperwork from the other case to speed up the process of having to try and contact him (bio) to end parental rights? Is it costly?
All info. is appreciated............ |

I was going to suggest service by media (newspaper classifieds) but you might want to call DHS / Adoption Dept (whatever its called) and ask if they know. I mean, they MUST deal with similar situations...
Sorry I can't be of more help. Maia |

OK--
If paternity is already established, then you will almost definately have to serve him. If it has not....you still have to serve him...but HE has to file to establish paternity. And you can do it via newspaper.... If you go to the court house downtown on jefferson, on the sixth floor is an agency that can explain to you what you need to do. I forgot the name...just go to the sixth floor and go to the left from the elevators.... Christine |
