step parent adoption
I have a problem that is probably not unique but I am struggling with an answer: I want to adopt my fiance's 6 year-old daughter. The natural father has signed away all parental rights. My fiance and I cannot be married due to government regulations. Can I adopt the girl and does anybody know about how much it will cost? (we both live on disability checks and have very little money)

You should contact an attorney. It sounds like your case may be bit complicated. An attorney is probably your best bet.
