question
Hi all. A friend of ours is going to be a surrogate for my hubbie and I. With a step parent adoption, which I will be doing after the birth, is a home study required like a regular adoption? Just wondering if the rules for adoption are the same with a step parent adoption. Is the process of adopting as a step parent simpler? Thanks.

Much simpler, but you do need a homestudy. This will be handled by the court in your county. Contact them for info as soon as possible.
